Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority has announced that the Cape Flyer will return this summer after a very successful inaugural season in 2013.

The train will fire up again starting the Friday leading into Memorial Day Weekend (May 23rd). A one-way ticket from Hyannis to Boston will cost $22 with a round trip ticket costing $40. Seniors and those with disabilities will receive discounted tickets. There are stops in Braintree, Middleboro, and Buzzards Bay, with an additional stop added in Wareham.

“We wanted to provide people with more options to get here without cars," said Thomas Cahir, CCRTA administrator. The added railway generated a significant amount of revenue last season for the Cape towns and are hoping to see the same increase this season.
