A teen mom from Hyannis is facing charges after leaving her infant son home alone to get herself fast food.

According to the Cape Cod Times, 19-year-old Stefanie DaSilva was arraigned on reckless endangerment of a child charges after she reportedly left her infant son in his crib while she stepped out for a Burger King run.

The police report says officers were called to an apartment at 110 West Main Street around 3:54 p.m. when a neighbor heard a baby crying inside.

When police arrived they had to enter through a window after no one came to the door.

The baby boy was found crying in his crib with a wet diaper. He was transported to Cape Cod Hospital.

DaSilva did not return to the apartment until about 4:50 p.m. and reportedly told officers she had just stepped out for 15 minutes to get Burger King.

She pleaded not guilty at her arraignment and had her bail set at $500. DaSilva will be back in Barnstable District Court on August 17th for a pretrial hearing.
