Buzzards Bay Celebrates The Fourth Annual Canal Run for the Troops

The fourth annual Canal Run for the Troops will begin at 10 a.m. this Saturday October 6th at the Buzzards Bay Recreation Park. Runners may sign up beginning at 8 a.m. on the day of the 5K/10K event. The fee is $25. Lunch, entertainment and prizes will be provided.

The money raised will help defray the cost of sending Christmas care packages to men and women stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan by the nonprofit organization Cape Cod Care for the Troops. The course is flat and paved with a water view the length of the course, there is slightly uphill as you run toward the Herring Run turnaround.
