New Bedford’s Butler Flats Lighthouse For Sale

The very famous and iconic Butler Flats Lighthouse that has been sitting in the harbor of New Bedford will be up for auction starting on July 8th. It was built in 1898 and operated by the City Of New Bedford. Woudn't it be a shame to have it moved from its location after all these years?  Depending on who ends up buying it, our days of seeing this lighthouse may be numbered. Take a picture while you can.
