Burger King Closed Due To Truck Fire In Drive-Through

The Burger King on Cranberry Highway in Wareham is closed after a truck fire in the drive-through spread to the building's exterior Sunday. 

On Sunday afternoon, a truck in the drive through area caught fire due to a mechanical problem.  The truck quickly became fully involved and the flames spread to the building.

According to Southcoast Today, the driver safely left the vehicle and the building was evacuated. building was evacuated and the driver of the truck safely exited the vehicle with no injuries reported.

The fire was contained to the exterior of the building, but the interior suffered smoke damage. The damage is estimated at about $20,000, not including the truck.
