Back in November of last year, nine year-old Liam Fitzgerald stole our hearts when a video of him fist-bumping each member of the Boston Bruins' went viral. Now he's using this "fame" to reach out to the public for a worthy cause.

Liam already won his personal battle against cancer. He beat leukemia. Now he and his family plan to fight back for everyone else. They plan to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

WCVB spoke with Liam's father, Bill Fitzgerald. He explains the challenge posed by his son: "Just record a picture or video fist-bumping, make a $5 donation and then challenge five other people to do the same thing. Of course, we hope it goes viral much like the Ice Bucket Challenge."

Phil and I will film and donate for the cause today, and will have our video up in a blog ASAP. HERE is the link to Liam's fundraiser page, where you can donate the five dollars for the cause. Please take on the challenge and keep it going. Surely LLS deserves as much recognition as ALS. And no ice cold water necessary here folks!
