Bourne Woman Accused Of Stealing Tips From Lobster Trap Tip Jar

Bourne Police say they've identified the elderly woman who stole money from a tip jar at the Lobster Trap restaurant.

Police were able to track down the woman, who has not been identified because she used a credit card to pay for her food immediately after the restaurant's surveillance cameras caught her reaching into the employee tip jar to steal money.

Police also got dozens of tips after locals recognized her face from the video that was released. The Bourne Police thanked everyone who called in with tips on their Facebook page. According to WBZ-TV in Boston, the restaurant's owner does not want to press charges and has replaced the stolen money.

Police say that this 66-year-old woman will be summoned to Falmouth District Court for the charge of Larceny Under $250.
