Bouncing And Bonding At The Insane Inflatable 5K

The Insane Inflatable 5K is big time family fun, as I learned from my own family this summer

Imagine my surprise when I logged on to Facebook and saw pictures of my aunt and cousin at the Insane Inflatable 5K out in Iowa. And it turned out it was one of the few things they got to do together before he had to ship back out with the Navy.

Sadly my cousin is stationed overseas for the next year or so with only a few chances to come home for visits. And this summer's visit happened to time out perfectly with their local Insane Inflatable 5K!

As you can see from the pictures, they had a blast. And ran the whole race together. Even heading down the first inflatable obstacle holding hands...so cute!

As my aunt later told me, she enjoyed it so much she started running up to each obstacles and throwing herself at it to see how high she could bounce. Awesome!

I know how much fun I had running last year's with my husband, bounding through each inflatable and skidding down the huge slides (that were slightly wet from the morning's rain!).

I know there's new obstacles this year to conquer together once again. Maybe we'll even try the hand-in-hand move.
