As it gets closer to the Boston Marathon, and the one year anniversary of the marathon bombings, details are emerging on the level of security that will be present this year.

There will be more than 3,500 police officers which is more than double from last year. As expected, people are strongly discouraged from bringing backpacks, bags, coolers or any large item. If you do, you will be subject to a search.

Also, "Bandits", which are unregistered runners, are prohibited from running. The total number of registered runners is expected to be 36,000 this year.
