The Dartmouth Parks and Recreation Department is warning beach goers of sticker theft at Round Hill Beach.

Visitors at Round Hill Beach are being reminded to roll up their windows and lock their doors when they head for the sand.

The Dartmouth Parks and Recreation Facebook page featured a post about beach stickers being stolen right out of people's cars.

Seems even if your window is down a little bit, thieves can reach their arms in and snag your beach sticker right out of your vehicle. And these stickers are known to sell for $100 online...making them very good targets.

The post did go on to say that the Parks Department is aware of the sticker numbers and if those stickers show up in the parking lot the police will be called and the car will be immediately towed.

They also ask anyone who may see someone reaching their arm into a parked vehicle to contact police or beach staff.
