Bank of America Cove Street ATM Robbery

Two men pulled a butcher knife on a customer last night at the Bank of America ATM. It happened at about 6:45pm on the corner of Route 18 and Cove Street in New Bedford's South End. Police say the victim was using the ATM machine when two men banged on the door. When he tried to leave, one man pushed him back inside, the other man took out a butcher knife and demanded that the victim withdraw money from his account. The first suspect was described as a 20 year old Cape Verdean male, about 5 foot 9, with short hair. The second suspect was only described as wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and a baseball hat. The victim was not hurt.
