Axe Throwing Hopes to Hit Its Target in Fall River
When you’re a 30-something, it seems like bowling is one of the only age-appropriate group activities out there.
But by this fall, you could be spending your 21+ nights hatchet throwing, thanks to the New Jersey-based Stumpy’s Hatchet House.
Stumpy's Hatchet House (4 Hatchet LLC) will be exactly what it sounds like – a place to recreationally throw hatchets with your friends (but not at your friends) in a safe, controlled environment. Plus, it’s BYOB (or BYO Wine if that’s your thing) and BYO food so grab a pizza and a six-pack before you go.
You and your gang can play three different style games including Standard Play, STUMP(Y) and Around the World in their designated throwing pits. Once you're down, you can hang out in their coffee-house style lounge area eating, drinking and playing other games with your friends.
Stumpy's/4 Hatchet LLC is in the final stages of bringing its thrilling, hatchet throwing hang-out sesh to Fall River. Franchisee Kim Besse and her husband are currently on the hunt for a Fall River building with 5,000-10,000 square feet to construct the 14-pit venue.
