Deb

A native of New Bedford, I am happy to be working at the radio station that I grew up listening too. I vividly remember listening to the Top 7 at 9 when I was younger, counting down Salt -N- Pepa "Whatta Man", Paperboy's "Ditty", and "Very Special" by Big Daddy Kane and Spinderella. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Wagner College on Staten Island, NY. I was lucky enough to live and work in New York City. I gained television experience through a  production internship on The Sally Jessy Raphael Show. I moved back to New Beige in 2003 and JR changed my life when he gave me an internship and my first job in radio. I've met my husband and some of the greatest people here at FUN 107. Now, I enjoy life as a mom. It's the hardest but most rewarding of all my jobs!   My Fav Things To Do:
  1. Reading a great book
  2. Mad Men
  3. Spending time with my family
  4. Jogging
  5. Listening to music
My Top Five Artists
  1. Madonna
  2. Michael Jackson
  3. Nelly Furtado
  4. Nas
  5. Lady Gaga

He hasn't exactly been a bubble boy but his exposure to germs has been severely limited. Aside from my parent's sterile home (my mother loves bleach), he is usually just home with us.

Keep on Rockin’ in the Corporate World

When people hear the word "corporate" they think of suits, muckety-mucks, stiff shirts if you will.  To be honest, that's always been my experience with the "c" word. Until now. This week, Fun 107 got a little visit from the corporate digital team. In they sauntered with their fancy glasses, Powerpoint presentations and policies on how to do our jobs better. So far, so corporate.

iPortuguese, the Southcoast’s New Smartphone?

Like many on the Southcoast, I grew up Portuguese. Strike that. I grew up Luso-American. The difference you maybe wondering, is between growing up with knowledge and hints of the culture verses growing up totally ingrained as if you'd been raised in the old country. I am a Luso-American, first generation with pride for both of my cultures.

My Life Is A Series of Passwords

Remember when finding out how much money you had in the bank (or didn't have) consisted of opening a passbook to see the latest entry? or when finding out what kind of health insurance coverage you had meant pulling out the welcome packet you received when you first enrolled? I'm not saying that the internet hasn't made access to information easier and brought expediency to every aspect of life
