Assonet Man Arrested After Allegedly Threatening Dartmouth Officer

DARTMOUTH - An Assonet man is under arrest after allegedly making threats toward a Dartmouth police officer.

Dartmouth Police spokesman Detective Kyle Costa says members of the Dartmouth and Freetown Police Departments arrested 28-year-old Justin Alves on two outstanding warrants out of Dartmouth Thursday.

The most recent warrant was the result of an investigation by Detective Costa, in which alves supposedly made specific online threats to a member of the Dartmouth Police Department.

Costa would not comment on the nature of Alves' alleged comments.
