NEW BEDFORD - Police have arrested a New Bedford teen in connection to an unarmed robbery this week.

Police say a 37-year-old man reported he was walking on Rivet Street Wednesday evening when he was approached by two males who demanded he hand over his belongings. The victim gave the suspects his cell phone and wallet. He was not injured.

Police were able to arrest one of the suspects, Brad Lourenco,18, of New Bedford. He's charged with unarmed robbery.

Lourenco was charged in 2011 in by Wareham Police after allegedly throwing a sock that had been lit on fire onto the roof of a town home.

Lourenco is also known as "Young Bank$," an aspiring rapper with several videos on Youtube.

The second suspect fled the scene. He's described as a light-skinned black male wearing a hooded grey sweatsuit. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact New Bedford Police at 508-991-6350, or the anonymous tip line at 508-992-7663, or email tip@newbedfordpd.com.
