Ask Abby: Is it Okay to Get Involved with Someone You Work With?

It's Valentine's Week so we're answering some burning love questions to help you out. 

Here's the scenario: I work with a girl that I'm really into. I'm pretty sure she's into me, too so I was going to make my move on Valentine's Day. My concern is that if we start dating, we work together. Is it okay to "get involved" with someone you work with?

I said that it depends on your workplace situation. Like, do you have to sit in the same cubicle with them if things go horribly wrong down the road? Or if you break up, can you get away with the occasional awkward office kitchen run-in? I know it makes me pretty cynical only thinking about what happens if it ends, but I think it's something to consider seeing as most people spend 40-plus hours where they work. You don't want it to be dreadful. Luckily, we have a whole slew of listeners who are here to chime in and give their advice.
