Two people have been arrested in connection with the killing of Donald Depina, a former veterans agent for the City of New Bedford.

Gregg Miliote, a spokesman with the Bristol County District Attorney's Office says 18-year-old Alexander Mills and a 16-year-old juvenile male were arrested Monday night by Massachusetts State Police.

Mills will be arraigned Tuesday morning in New Bedford District Court and the exact charges he faces will be announced in open court during his arraignment.

The juvenile, who's name and information can't be provided due to his status as juvenile, will be arraigned Tuesday morning in New Bedford Juvenile Court.

Depina was found unresponsive in Brooklawn Park around 11 p.m. Saturday suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was transported to St. Luke's Hospital where was later pronounced dead.

The 66-year-old Depina was working as cab driver for Blue Bird Transportation at the time of his death.

He had previously worked as New Bedford's Veterans' Agent under Mayor Fred Kalisz.
