A dispute over parking on a city street leads to a stabbing in New Bedford.

Police tell WBSM News a 50-year-old New Bedford man parked his car on Adams Street in the West End just after 12am Friday morning when he got into an argument over the parking space with several people watching from a nearby home.

The man told police he started to walk towards his own house when he was jumped by four people and stabbed in the right arm. He was transported to St. Luke's Hospital and treated for his injury.

Police are searching for the suspects and are looking at footage from a nearby surveillance camera.
