I was hoping that I wouldn’t have to worry about possibly getting another oil delivery before the end of winter, but this winter seems like it’s never going to end. My wife and I bought a pellet stove to help reduce our eating costs this winter and it was a very wise investment.

We’ve noticed a savings on heating of about 50% and our house is way warmer. We used to keep the thermostat at 60 degress and occasionally splurge by bumping it up to 62 on those really cold nights. We have oil heat and we don’t have the option of converting to gas heat in our neighborhood.

Because this winter has been so cold and drawn out, most of the usual stops to buy pellets are tapped out. I’d appreciate any suggestions on where to buy some wood pellets around here. We’ve checked a few places this week like Mahoney’s Lumber in Mattapoisett, Lowes, Home Depot and Acushnet Alternative Heating in Fairhaven, but they are all out. Help!

Where else can we go? Any suggestions?
