Just as the winter warm up melts everything away, Mother Nature may be bringing more snow to the Southcoast.

As ABC6's Jeff Desnoyers noted on Facebook today, there are a few flurries falling today, but the real accumulation isn't expected for another 24 hours or so.

Although Monday had a few wisps of snow, only out towards Plymouth County should there be any serious accumulation according to Desnoyers.

Parts of the coastline could see a dusting of about an inch for MLK Day, but Tuesday night into Wednesday will be a different story.

The mid-week forecast shows lots of clouds for our area, but things are going to warm up to the mid and upper 30's.

That combo looks to be bringing a rain/snow mix to the Southcoast.

The early forecast from Desnoyers shows snow overnight on Tuesday bringing maybe a couple of inches of snow.

Of course the rain/snow line always shows up somewhere on the Southcoast, so we could see more of a sleet mix around here and that will likely make for a messy commute come Wednesday morning.

As to whether or not that will lead to school delays remains to be seen, but you can always keep up-to-date in the Storm Center.
