Another New Judge On The Voice

Last month it was revealed that Pharrell Williams would be replacing Cee-Lo Green on The Voice so Green could tour with Lionel Richie. But with word that Christina Aguilera was taking the season off as well, fans wondered when the next announcement would be. Well here it is.

Though The Voice hasn’t made this one official, Christina herself kind of did. Aguilera tweeted a Voice spoiler this afternoon that confirmed some recent rumors.

I think Gwen Stefani is going to be a great fit on the show and would certainly have some words of wisdom for any aspiring singers. But does anybody else see a trend to the judge lineup on this show?

I mean Cee-Lo and Christina, Usher and Shakira, now Pharrell and Gwen…what’s up with that? Is there some sort of judging formula that The Voice has figured out? By the third time around its getting a little weird, no?

If they branched out from what works, who would you want to see in the red swivel seats for upcoming seasons?

I think Kelly Clarkson would make a fantastic addition to the team, having been on the contestant side of things in the past she’d certainly have good insight for her team. Or what about Nick Lachey? I know he hasn’t done a lot with his own singing career lately, but he does know a thing or two about reality TV.
