We got some complaint calls this morning about the American flag that is being flown at PAACA's building at the corner of Coggeshall and Route 18 in New Bedford. With Memorial Day coming up this weekend, we decided to go down and check it out for ourselves. Honestly, I'm not 100% sure it's a flag. I'm wondering if it could be a windsock, but I can't say for sure. Some people think it looks like it's somehow just been twisted and tied up. We placed a call to PAACA (Positive Action Against Chemical Addiction) to ask about what exactly this flag is, but no one was available at the time to talk. We are awaiting a call back.

Either way, here is a picture of what we found when we went down to the building. If this turns out to be a flag, we need to somehow get a new one for PAACA. The folks at PAACA do some terrific work with very limited funds. Maybe we can find a store that sells flags that might be willing to donate one.
