I saw one of the best segments on 60 Minutes last evening.   It features Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon.   Before the piece concluded, Bezos unveiled what he called "Octocopters."

These drones look like something out of the "Terminator" movies.  They are unmanned "Prime Air" vehicles that will deliver products to your home within 30 minutes of the order being places at Amazon.com.

The CEO says that these drones will someday be as normal as seeing mail trucks n the road today.   There are still some "bugs" to work out of the Octocopters before they can be approved by the FAA.   Bezos said in the interview last night that the drones won't be ready to take flight for a few years.  An optimistic guess was 2015.

Check out the video of an the Amazon Prime Air test-flight.
