A summer tradition returns to downtown New Bedford on the second Thursday of each month. AHA (Arts, History, Architecture) Nights will begin on June 14th.Each night will include free arts and cultural events, as well as guided walking tours of the city's historic district. According to the AHA Facebook page, over 60 downtown venues will be involved in the three scheduled events.

If you take advantage of the evening downtown, you'll see many art displays, hear a variety of live music performances and sample some of the different foods this area of the city offers. Also, the first walking tour will focus on Old Bedford Village, featuring the houses of whaling captains, and the house where civil rights leader Frederick Douglas began his mission. The walking tours in July and August will cover different aspects of New Bedford's rich historical past.

AHA Nights will happen again on July 12th and again on August 9th.
