Something new has been recently launched in Belgium that will try to possibly decrease the amount of times that people bump into each other.

Apparently when people text while walking, they do not walk in a straight line and they bump into each other.

The European country has launched text walking lanes for those who are glued to their phone because they check them constantly.

Smartphone specialist M-Lab found that when people text while walking, they not only bump into each other, but they also drop their phones. This causes cracked screens, broken buttons, and wrecked cases, which can result in arguments and fighting.

According to Mirror.com, Belgium is not the only place to introduce text walking lanes. Chongqing, China also has them and Washington D.C. is in the process of creating text walking lanes. With the creation of text walking lanes, public spaces will be much safer for those walking and it will also be safer for phones.
