Acushnet Man Arrested After Reports of Car Breaks in Wareham

WAREHAM — An Acushnet man is under arrest in Wareham after police received reports of car break-ins.

Wareham Police say that at about 2:40 a.m. on Wednesday, they received a report of a man breaking into vehicles in the lot of Vaughn's Towing on Cranberry Highway.

Police on scene found a man hiding under a pick-up truck in the enclosed lot.

The man, Evan Verissimo, 26, of Acushnet, was arrested and found in possession of drugs.

Verissimo is charged with trespassing and possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug.
