Monday Is Final Day To Request Absentee Ballots

Massachusetts voters who expect to be out of town on Election Day have until noon Monday to apply for an absentee ballot.

Voters can request ballots at local clerks' offices or election commissions. They can fill it out and submit it at the same time.

Mailed absentee ballots must arrive at the local election office before 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Voters with a physical disability that prevents them from voting at their polling place, or who cannot go to the polls due to religious beliefs, may vote by absentee ballot.

The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Ballots mailed from outside the United States must be postmarked by Nov. 4 and will be counted if they arrive no later than 10 days afterward.
