ABC Disposal Worker Killed By Garbage Truck

An ABC Disposal employee has been killed on the job.

Bristol County District Attorney spokesman Gregg Miliote says the employee was struck and killed by an ABC Disposal garbage truck as he was crossing the company parking lot late Tuesday afternoon.

The man, who's identity is being witheld until notification of next of kin, was transported to St. Luke's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The incident is under investigation by New Bedford Police, State Police, and the Bristol County District Attorney's office.
