J.R., you may be gone from this world, but your voice and memories will forever be in our heart. 

After the news broke that you were no longer with us, I can speak on behalf of everyone when I say that it hasn't been easy. I mean, what can I say, you're more than just a local icon, you're a legend in the radio industry.

Michael Rock said it perfectly when he said, "Your voice was a warm blanket that covered the SouthCoast." That statement couldn't be any truer.

As I left the radio station yesterday, I couldn't stop thinking about how much I miss you and how badly I wished you were still here. I simply could not stop the thoughts. There was no doubt that I had to put together a little something for you, a collection of your on-air segments, anything to just be able to hear your voice once more.

I promise to always work hard, never give up and forever make you proud. Here's to you, J.R.:
