A family in Georgia is giving an elderly dog new life. Nicole Elliot recently adopted a dying dog in order to give him the best final days any dog could ask for.

Elliot adopted Chester last month from a local animal shelter after seeing a post on Facebook. The post was entitled "hospice needed," because Chester was dying of cancer and was only giving a few months left to live.

Chester had a surgery to remove a large tumor, but before long smaller clusters of tumors were popping up. There are now too many tumors to remove with surgery.

When Elliot saw the dog's adorable face she knew that she wanted to give the little guy the best remanding days full of love.

Elliot made Chester a "bucket list" of things for the elderly dog to experience before he passes away. The list includes baskets full of treats, shopping sprees, and walks along the beach.

As Chester did each of the things on his bucket list, Elliot posted pictures online and quickly gained traction on the internet. In the past few weeks the Facebook page has gotten over 11,000 likes.

Elliot is hoping that this new found internet stardom will show others that old dogs are just as great as the young ones. She also hopes that it will make people want to adopt rescue dogs with terminal illnesses.
