Boston Sports Stars On Massachusetts Unclaimed Property List

Seems some big name sports stars are on the list of Massachusetts tax payers that are owed some money.

The Massachusetts state treasurer's office has put out the latest list of unclaimed property and tens of thousands of Massachusetts taxpayers are on it. Including Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady, "Big Papi" David Ortiz and Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.

Though each of these guys are owed about $300 or less, some Massachusetts tax payers could have much more.

The unclaimed property list contains the name of every Massachusetts residents that has money or property in long forgotten bank accounts, safe deposit boxes or stocks and insurance policies, among other things.

One in ten Massachusetts residents are on it and this year the state's unclaimed property list totals more than $2 billion!

If you do find your name of the list, you can call the state treasurer’s office to make a claim.
