There are so many great movies during the holiday season. Some people like to watch the classics like "it's a Wonderful Life" and Miracle On 34th Street. Sure, those have great messages about generosity and Christmas spirit, but I prefer the ones that are on the funny side.

Here is a countdown of my top five Christmas movies that I make a point to watch every year at this time.

    Home Alone

No matter how old I get, I still enjoy watching Macaulay Culkin torture Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern. Here's a montage of that torture.

    Elf

I thought I liked sugar, until I saw what Buddy The Elf's diet was. This is one of my favorite Will Ferrell performances of all time.  Very funny with a great Christmas message. The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is to sing loudly for all to hear!

    Scrooged

A great twist on Charles Dicken's "A Christmas Carol", this movie is hilarious, as only Bill Murray can be.

    A Christmas Vacation

Clark receives the gift that "keeps on giving" instead of the Christmas bonus he was expecting. Watch as he freaks out over the jelly of the month club gift!

    A Christmas Story

By far, this is my favorite Christmas movie of all time.  Maybe it's because Raplhie's curmudgeon of a dad reminds me of my own. Or that he grew up on Cleveland St just like I did. I love everything about this movie and can watch the 24 hour marathon every year without interruption. It never gets old.  One of my favorite scenes is when Ralphie loses it on the school bully.
