A 70-year-old man pleaded not guilty in court this morning after being charged with the murder of 70-year-old John Williams.

Williams was found in his Glen Charlie Road home on Tuesday, the victim of an apparent gun shot wound.

70-year-old John Wittey of Berkley has been charged in the fatal shooting and entered a not guilty plea in Wareham District Court on Friday.

Wittey is described as an acquaintance of Williams, but police have not released information on a possible motive for the shooting. They do say Williams had been shot several times.

Wittey's case was continued to March 14th for a probable cause hearing.
