With less than two weeks to go until the Nov. 3 city elections, Mayor Sam Sutter and City Councilor Jasiel Correia II took turns slamming each other’s qualifications to lead Fall River during Wednesday night’s mayoral debate.

Here are the 3 most interesting moments from last night's debate:

1.  Jasiel Correia says he would change city motto of "We'll try" to a more appealing motto/slogan for the city of Fall River.

I've got to say, I've been pushing for this for decades.  "We'll try" has to be the most ridiculous city slogan in the history of city slogans.  It looks especially out of place on the shoulders of the city's police force.  "What?  An emergency, you say?  We'll be right there, maam.  Well, at least we'll try."

2.  Mayor Sutter wants to rejuvenate the Harbour Mall.

I raised my eyebrows at this one.  It's hard to envision a successful rejuvenation of the Harbour Mall as it stands now.  While we haven't yet heard the details of Mayor Sutter's plans, the only rejuvenation of the mall I could picture would be updating it to one of those outdoor shopping centers.  Something similar to Wareham Crossing might be the answer.

3. Mayor Sutter says his favorite lunch option in the city is the kale soup at Cafe Arpeggio.  Jasiel Correia says he goes to different Fall River restaurants every day.

Gazelle's pick for his favorite Fall River lunch spot is Faneek's Hot Dogs.

Loren loves the Pink Bean for a quick sandwich.

Personally, I don't think you can beat the boneless buffalo wings at Barrett's Ale House.
