The meteorologist of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has recently released this year's Hurricane Season Prediction. 

June 1st marks the beginning of the 2016 Hurricane Season.

Compared to recent years, the weather in the Atlantic will be a bit more active than prior years. There's still the threat of a few hurricanes, 4-8 to be exact, but for the most part we are looking at smaller storms around 10-16. Out of these storms, 1-4 may be catastrophic and WILL bring forth damaging winds and torrential rain.

As far as names go, although predictions call for 10-16, NOAA and NWS has prepped for the worst.
